Best Super Bowl Commercials

Well here there are! Thanks to the power of YouTube I have listed some superbowl commercials that I have loved over the years. The Super Bowl has become an event where advertisers for companies spend huge amounts of money for air time during the big game. Many of them are funny and some are to introduce a new product like Doritos and Pepsi have done over the years. Here are what many consider to be the first great ones back in the 80's

Coke Commercial with Mean Joe Greene (1980)
1984 Apple Macintosh Commercial that changed technology forever. Those were the most famous ones but here are my favorites. Majority of them are Beer Commercials. This includes the Budweiser Frogs!!
I miss the Budweiser Frogs and especially the Lizards
Damn you PETA!! I say bring them back! Especially bring back these guys (another budweiser superbowl classic)
WASSUPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!LOL
Here's are some Bud Light Commercials
Now here are some Doritos commercials from the past Super Bowls
Now here isoneof  my favorite Career Builder Commercials that aired on super bowl sunday!
Remember these EPS Commericals. You will after watching these

This commercial made us fall in love with Betty White all over again!!

And last but not least Terry Tate: Office Linebacker

Of course they show Movie Trailers of upcoming summer movies during the super bowl. Well I hope you enjoy wasting your time watching these. Hopefully my next blog post will be a little more informative. But I wanted you to laugh and get ready for the Super Bowl (the game and the commericals). I wish I could say the same for the halftime show with Madonna :P

Who to cheer for in Super Bowl XLVI

Well, now after another NFL season we come down to the best 2 teams meeting in less than 2 weeks in Indianapolis for Super Bowl XLVI (that's number 46 for those who don't know roman numerals). Those two teams are the New England Patriots (AFC Champs) vs the New York Giants (NFC Champs). Now if you like me aren't a crazy fan of either team but just want to watch the game because lets face it the Super Bowl in itself is a media show. With all the activities that leadup to the game itself and pregame festivities, halftime show, and advertising the game gets blown out of hand. Speaking of advertising Super Bowl Commericials are almost fun to watch as the game itself.  I'll post some of my favorite Super Bowl Commercials I'll probably find on YouTube in my next blog post.
Back to the topic, who to casually root for in the game. For me I'm going to be looking at this from an Ohio State Fan prospective and cheer for the team that has the most former Buckeyes on it. I've looked at both rosters and found that there is nobody on the New England Patroits roster that is a former Buckeye. To add on to that their quarterback is of course Tom Brady!! :P
There is one of him in action and the other with his supermodel wife Gisele Bundchen. Now I admit reading his biography Brady had to work real hard to achieve what he had accomplished but Buckeye fans doesn't it make your blood boil a little bit that this man went to Michigan. You just love to hate Tom Brady for all of this. I mean he is already guaranteed a head bust in Canton at the Pro Football Hall of Fame for leading the Patroits to 3 Super Bowl Wins and getting MVP and great QB stats. Those reasons alone plus there are no Buckeyes on the team is why I'm not rooting for the Patriots.

Now, the New York Giants. At one point they almost didn't even make it to the playoffs. They were 7-7 and had to beat the Jets and the Cowboys to win the NFC East to make it which they did. Ending up killing the Atlanta Falcons 24-2, upsetting the defending Super Bowl Champions Green Bay Packers 37-20, and beating a very stout San Francisco 49ers team 20-17 in overtime to get to the Super Bowl. There are 2 Former Ohio State Buckeyes on the team, offensive lineman Jim Cordle, and Tight End Jake Ballard who has become a surprise this season and become the 3rd leading receiver behind Hakeem Hicks and Victor Cruz.
Jake Ballard with an amazing TD Catch
Well whomever you root for this seems to be a great matchup between 2 teams whom have met before 4 years ago in Super Bowl 42 when Eli Manning drove the Giants down the field to a game winning score to win 17-14 and the biggest plays of the game happened on Manning's pass to David Tyree.

I'm not a fan of either team but since I don't want Patriots coach Bill Belichick and Tom Brady to win another Super Bowl and it would be cool to see Jake Ballard get a ring for the Giants. I hope the game is great to watch and the commercials will be better to watch this year. Can't say the same for the Halftime show, Madonna is performing my suggestion is to turn to something else for 20 minutes before the game comes back on.
That's my two cents!!!

New Years' Resolution

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYBODY!! Yeah I know I'm posting this a few days after the new year but it still feels like it's almost 2011 with the weather finally being cold and snowy. Ohio didn't get a White Christmas and now we have to suffer through the next approximately 2 1/2 months of winter. But that's ok because the cold weather is what makes us from the north tough. We can deal with all four seasons in the North/Midwest and that's how I like it. To me it makes training for a spring marathon much more satisfying.

In fact, that's what I'm doing today writing about my new years resolution. Running a spring marathon and PR'ing is on that list of course. Now when people make New Years Resolution for them it's hard to stick with them. You always see the gyms crowded the first month of the year. After that the attendance at these gyms die down. You can always tell the regulars from the non ones. People complain it gets too busy for them with work or what not. That's sometimes the problem. There are those who can't develop good or healthly habits and they tend to fall into bad routines instead of good routines.

For me, last year around this time I thought about starting a blog. I didn't know how this would effect me. I started this back in February but almost a year into it I started to realize who reads this and give me their opinions of my blog post. I tried to be informative on my opinions on certain things. I don't talk about politics too much or not at all because everyone has an opinion and I don't want to get too dicey with mine.

(To be honest many of them like to smell their own S*** if you know what I mean)

Like I mention in my very first blog I usually write about my faith, sports, some thoughts in life, anything running or training related, and defintely something funny. Keep it informative but entertaining has been my goal for this.

Throughout the year I think I've been very funny with Jack Bauer vs MacGyver   and with Pro Wrestling Part 1 and Part 2 They have been some of my most read and popular ones. I've seen my beloved Buckeyes in trouble with the NCAA, Lebron be the quitter that he is. Also I share some thought on Gratitude & Contentment in my faith.

I believe the best ones I shared this year were when I shared my  Blood, Sweat & Tears and was able to run the Boston Marathon. Through the rough times and great times had this year while also turning 30 years old finally, I think my friends and family for being there with me. I'll try to update or write in my blog still. It's hard when you get busy but at least 3 a month would be alright.

To show you what I plan to aim for this new year I don't think is that far off I believe. I mean you don't want to go to high and end up in disappointment. These seem very obtainable in the new year.

1.) PR in the marathon and the half marathon at a new age!! (Getting much healthlier)
2.) Read my bible a little more (This I need to work on, good thing my bible study friends keep me up with this.)
3.) If not PR in marathon then get a time where I can run again in the First Wave & First Corral at the 2013 Boston Marathon.
4.) Keep my place clean (LOL)
5.) Save my money a little bit more!!
6.) Read more into the Track and Field Officiating Rule Book to become a better Track Official.
7.) Yeah another thing. READ a little bit more. (Goes along with # 2 & # 6)
8.) Run USATF Club XC Nationals again in December (This one would be my 7th in a row if I continue to run it).
9.) Take any certification test in order to get a license in becoming a Personal Running Coach this year (Idea has been put into my head for awhile. I would like to work with anybody in training for anything up from 5k-Marathon. All speeds. Hopefully or maybe get back into coaching Junior High or High School Cross Country/Track & Field.)
10.) Keep myself positive and date a little bit more in hopes that I may get closer to finding THE ONE!!

I think those aren't out of reach!!! What are your New Years Resolutions.
